The National Forum of Ex-Councillors on Monday endorsed the candidacy of national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President in 2023.
The group, who made the endorsement at a press briefing in Kano said the former Lagos state Governor is the only candidate that will rekindle the needed unity of the country without and curb nepotism.

According to the national President of the forum, Ambassador Auwal Kassim Hassan, “We have x-rayed the entire political landscape of Nigeria to fish out the best presidential material available, worthy of our support in 2023, and came to conclusion that Bola Tinubu is the answer.
“His credentials supersede that of other aspirants who have indicated intention t contest for the position. Our stand is holistic, judging from where we are coming from the present stagnated position we find the country today and lofty height the it wishes to reach,” Hassan added.
The forum also said that despite his age, their aspirant is the most youth-friendly, hence the need for the youths to support him.
“We need a nation that will give equal opportunity to all, irrespective of tribal, sectional and religious differences. Our mission is to get for Nigeria nothing short of stewardship come 2023,” the forum added.
