Driver on video call crushes waitress in Kwara

A middle-aged waitress has been crushed by a driver suspected to be on a video call around Arca Santa Events Centre, Ajase-Ipo, in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.

Witnesses told Daily Trust that the driver, in a Toyota Camry with the number Lagos AAA 261 EX, ran over the lady.

A witness said, “It took the timely intervention of the police to save the driver from a possible mob attack.”

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kwara, Jonathan Owoade, said the corpse had been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Ilorin, and that the vehicle and the driver had been taken to ‘A’ Division Police Station, Ilorin.
