Women group calls for synergy on peace building

Women for Peace in Nigeria (WOPIN) has called on the government, Civil Society Organisations (CSO) and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) to intensify effort on peace building in Nigeria.

The Kaduna State Coordinator of WOPIN, Mrs Grace Magaji, made the call yesterday during their annual public lecture on the role of media in nation building.

According to her, “Peace brings development and without peace, nothing meaningful can take place and that is why we urge the government and NGOs to call for more synergy on peace building, let us create an atmosphere of lasting peace in Kaduna and Nigeria at large”.
