The Vice Chancellor of University of Jos (UniJos), Prof. Ishaya Tanko, has said that the university is working hard with all stakeholders to protect students of the university against kidnapping and other forms of criminalities.
He made this known during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Royal Choice Inn, a property developer, to build one billion naira hotel accommodations for visitors and sabbatical lecturers in the university.

Tanko said the spate of kidnapping in the country was very disturbing and it had become necessary for the university to take action.
“The issue of insecurity is global even though that of Nigeria is peculiar. We are putting a lot of strategies in place to ensure that our students, staff and other people within the university community are protected,” he said.
