The Senator representing Kano Central, Ibrahim Shekarau, has vowed to personally pursue the case of Hanifa, the girl kidnapped and subsequently killed in Kano.
Abdulmalik Tanko, her school proprietor, had confessed killing her after kidnapping the pupil in December.
In a statement by his media aide, Dr Sule Yau Sule, Shekarau, sympathised with the deceased’s family and promised to ensure she gets justice.
The two-term former Kano state Governor said, “A heartless murder like this must not be swept under the carpet”, vowing to follow the case to logical conclusion.
Shekarau then prayed to Almighty Allah to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
