Nguroje mourns Turakin Gashaka, Vaki

The Chairman, Governing Board of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Babangida Nguroje, has expressed shock over the death of elderstatesman, Alhaji Abdumumuni Vaki of Gashaka Emirate.
Nguroje on Saturday in a message described the late Alhaji Vaki him as a father and forthright community leader who did his best for the people of the state and contributed immensly to the Taraba State traditional institution.
The former Deputy Speaker said that the late Turakin Gashaka lived an exemplary life worthy of emulations and that his return to his creator has created a huge gap that only time can heal.
“The Gashaka emirate benefited from his wealth of experience, sense and gift of wisdom,” Nguroje said.
He said the late Vaki has taken his turn at the time his fatherly advise and experience are mostly needed by all those who have come in contact with him, and that he will be missed by all, particularly the traditional institutions of  Gashaka and Sardauna in Taraba State.
Extolling the virtues of the late community leader and politician, the former Deputy Speaker said the late Vaki lived a selfless life and has stamped his footprints on the sands of time.
He said, “His benevolence will certainly outlive him. I prayed God Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
