Leader of Tijjaniyya Sect in Algeria, Sheikh Aliyu Bil Arabi and other top clerics of sect are currently in Kano for the National Prayer on Peace and security.
Sheikh Aliyu Bil Arabi and his entourage were first received by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at Government House, Kano, before they moved to Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.

They were later received Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
The Federal Government was represented at the event by the Minister of Agriculture (State), Mustapha Baba Shehuri.
Members of the Qadriyya sect and others are also in attendance.
