Over 300 youths are being trained on vocational skills development by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Plateau State.
NDE in a statement said the training is under Advanced National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (A-NOAS), Basic National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (B-NOAS) and the quick-fix-training scheme and resettlement loan disbursement services.

Graduates would receive packages that would enable them start-up a business and become employers of labour.
At the opening ceremony, the State Coordinator of the NDE, Ibrahim Abdulazeez, appealed to the beneficiaries to be diligent, self-reliant and train other youths. He said the resettlement loan given to them is refundable, urging them to make sure that they settle the loan at the appointed time so that other sets of trainees would equally benefit.
The Head of Vocational Skills Development Department at the NDE headquarters Abuja, Malam Yusuf Umar, enjoined the beneficiaries to apply humility, experience and determination to enable them achieve greatness.
A trainee, Tabitha Ibrahim, lauded NDE for the gesture and promised to make good use of the opportunity given to them by the federal government.
