Iyabo Oko: Nkechi Blessing Tackles Colleagues Who Hurriedly Post RIP When Actors Die

Nollywood Actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has shown her disappointment towards her colleagues who are quick to post a ‘rest in peace’ status on their social media platforms when their colleague dies.

She posted this hours after some of her colleagues mourned the veteran actor, Iyabo Oko, who was initially reported dead.

Though she did not mention any name, via her post, she wondered if any help was rendered by those who rushed to mourn the veteran actress online.

She wrote, “People are so quick to post RIP but to post your success, they won’t… fake love everywhere…

“The way you all rushed to post that RIP ehn, I am sure most of you did not rush to her aid when her account was posted. Its 2022 the yoruba industry needs to do better than this….just saying respectfully.” (sic)

Earlier on Thursday, Bisi Aisha, daughter of the veteran actress stated that her mother had died. However, in a twist of the event, the lady took to her Instagram account to inform friends, family and fans of the actress that her mother moved her fingers three hours after she was pronounced dead.

Born Odukanmi Kudirat on November 15, 1960, in the Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State in Nigeria, dubbed Iyabo Oko, the actress joined acting as a teenager in 1973.

At that time she was on the platform of the Eda Onileola theatre troupe.
