Oba Saliu Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadan, is dead.
A palace source that craved anonymity confirmed to our correspondent that Oba Adetunji died at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, on Sunday morning.

Daily trust reports that the first-class monarch had been battling old age related ailment in the last few weeks.
The source said: “Though I am yet to get to the palace but I heard he died at the University Teaching Hospital this morning. I will update you as soon as I get to the palace.”
Oba Adetunji, who was crowned the 41st Olubadan on March 4, 2017, was born on August 26, 1928.
He was the first of the 17 children of his parents.
His death comes three weeks after that of Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, the Soun of Ogbomosoland.
Ajagungbade was 95 years old.
