2023: Diri warns against violent politicking

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has called on politicians in the state to be tolerant and shun divisive and violent politics ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Speaking during a crossover inter-denominational service held at his Sampou community in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state, the governor said the warning became necessary given the destructive brand of politicking of some politicians in the state ahead of the electioneering process.

He recalled how he emerged as governor without involving in violent politics or trying to bring anybody down.
