Acting Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Mu’azu Abdulkadir Pindiga, has sworn in 24 newly appointed magistrates approved by the state’s judicial service commission (JSC).
According to him, nine of them were appointed as senior magistrates II with 15 others as magistrates I.
Pindiga reminded the newly sworn magistrates to administer justice to all manner of people irrespective of their origin, creed, and religion.
The acting chief judge urged them to be guided by the 1999 constitution while discharging their duties, asking them to forward their quarterly proceedings to the deputy registrar for assessment of their performances.
Pindiga also appealed to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to complete the ongoing construction of the Magistrates Court Complex in Gombe metropolis to ease the difficulties faced by magistrates of having to share courts.
