Lagos Kuda emerges 2021 best turn out team

The Kuda Polo team who made their debut in Kano this year have ended the year 2021 in Abuja as the Best Turned Out team of the season.

The Best Turn out Team award is a special honour bestowed on any team that makes the most impression both on and off the pitch in their outfits and team organization at major tournaments across the country.

Boosted by the warm reception and their growing popularity among the polo buffs across the country, the Lagos based club are setting their eye on winning more laurels next season.

The Kuda skipper, Usman Ahmed who led Ade Abdulrahaman, Ibrahim Dantala and Kwame Isa to the recently concluded 2021 Abuja Carnival Polo Tournament at Guards Polo in another good outing, listed their 2022 first quarter plans.

“I’m so proud of our achievement so far,” Ahmed said of his teammates. “We didn’t start with a narrow mindset but we are happy it is happening so soon.

“Look out for the exciting Kuda Boys at the prestigious Niger Delta Polo festival I Port Harcourt next January, be there to cheer us up at the prestigious Lagos International in February, and follow us to the Ibadan 2022 annual polo tournament.

“As a team, we are getting better, the take home from our tournaments so far in terms of strategies and team chemistry, would really influence our approaches going forward, where we would be facing more experienced teams.” he pointed out, “
