PHOTOS: Kaduna stands still as Gen Wushishi is laid to rest

Former Chief of Army Staff, General Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi (rtd) who died in a London Hospital, has been laid to rest.

The deceased, who hailed from Niger State, lived most part of his life in Kaduna State, where he was buried.

Among those who attended the burial were former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd); Minister of Defence, Bashir Salihu Magashi; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu; and traditional rulers from Niger State, led by the Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Traditional Council of Chiefs, Alh Yahaya Abubakar.

He served as the Chief of Army Staff between October 1981 and October 1983, during the Second Republic.
