Group withdraws corruption allegations against NPA Director

Nigeria United Against Corruption has withdrawn the corruption allegations it meted out against the current acting Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Muhammad Bello Koko.

The organisation had during a press conference to called for the suspension of the MD owing to his alleged “involvement of the MD in some shady deals”.

In a statement on Tuesday the Spokesperson of the organization, Amb. Salisu Sageer Zarewa, said that “our deep and forensic investigations confirmed to us that the facts at our disposal are false and misleading.

He said the allegations were dished out by unscrupulous elements determine to distract the MD from the good transformation he is putting in place at the NPA.

“We, the Nigerian United Against Corruption wishes to by this notice and in the presence of superior data and information withdraw all allegations of corruption and tender our unreserved apology to Mr. Muhammad Bello Koko, stakeholders of the Ports Authority.

The organisation also called on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari to confirm the appointment of Mr. Bello Muhammad Koko as the substantive Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Ports Authority.
