The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), in collaboration with Comfred Education Consult, on Saturday, organised a one-day training workshop for 255 private schools teachers in Abaji Area Council.
The workshop, which was held in the area council secretariat conference hall, was tagged ‘Use of Instructional Materials for Effective Teaching and Learning’.
Speaking, the principal consultant, Comfrend Education Consult, Mr. Ibrahim Wale, said the workshop was to enable teachers of private schools in Abaji to update their methods of teaching and assessment toward the realization of the potentials of their pupils.
He, therefore, urged the participants to imbibe the training to improve their skills and knowledge of contemporary teaching and impact their schools.
Also speaking, the principal of Thaqafah Islamic Academy Abaji, Engr. Junaid Moruf Ajao, who is also the NAPPS coordinator in Abaji, appreciated the participants and resource persons for their presentations.
City News reports that the participants later went into group discussions and brainstormed on teaching skills required of modern educators, classroom management procedures, lesson planning and delivery of educational objectives.
