At least nine persons have been killed and many injured as gunmen attacked Te’egbe village of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Daily Trust reports that many houses were also burnt in the attack.

The village was attacked barely two days after two farmers were ambushed and killed in Ancha village of Miango District of Irigwe Chiefdom in Bassa LGA.
Davidson Malison, the spokesman of Irigwe Development Association (IDA), who confirmed the development to Daily Trust, saying the assailants invaded the village around 1:am of Friday.
Governor Simon Bako Lalong in a statement by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Simon Machan, condemned the attacked and called on security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the act.
Lalong, while commiserating with the victims and families of those killed, assured that they would get justice as Government would stop at nothing to unravel those behind the ugly incident that continue to disrupt the livelihoods of the people of the Local Government.
Lalong also directed the Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the Peace Building Agency (PBA) to immediately visit the area and assess the level of damage with a view to carrying out immediate intervention and bringing succor to those in need as a result of the barbaric attack.
He also called on the people to assist the security agencies with relevant information that will enable them crack the identity and motives of the attacks.
