To boost the operational capacity of traffic managers in the state, the Lagos State government has presented five vehicles to the State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
The State Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, presented the vehicles as the government explores strategies for improved traffic flow following various diversions occasioned by road and rail constructions across the state.

The Head of Service, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Mr Samson Ajibade, noted that the “presentation of vehicles, as approved by Mr Governor, is to boost the traffic management activities and service delivery by LASTMA officers” across the state.
“Today’s presentation will not only assist the authority but strengthen the team in achieving the Greater Lagos dream, just as the operatives ensure smoother traffic monitoring and free flow of traffic on our roads,” he said.
The five zones that benefited from the presentation are Ibeju-Lekki, Zone 2 Ogudu/Toll Gate, Zone 8 Ikorodu, Zone 25 Iyana-Oworo and the headquarters.
In his response, the General Manager, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Mr Bolaji Oreagba, lauded the governor for the gesture.
He said the vehicles would be judiciously used to achieve the mandate of the authority.
