The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that the number of fresh registrants in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) has hit 4,297,494.
This is contained in the CVR weekly update, quarter 2, week seven, as of Monday 22 November 2021.

Daily Trust reports that INEC’s online registration portal was earlier launched on 28 June and was followed with the applicants’ physical registration on 26 July this year after the formal launch by INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu.
“The number of registrants who have completed online and physical registration was 1,856,771, made up of 941,098 male and 915,673 female of which 18,705 were people living with disabilities (PWDs),” the report added.
The update also revealed that 741,183 of the registrants registered online, while 1,115,588 completed the process through physical registration.
The report also said that youth who are 18- 34 years account for 1,326,067 of the new registrants.
