Kano state government has assured African Development Bank (AFDB) that, the state is ready to partner with the bank in the area of Vaccine production.
The assurance was given by the governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, when the president of the bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Kano on Saturday.

The AFDB President said the bank could support the state in the area of Vaccine production, to boost healthcare delivery system in the state.
Governor Ganduje said “You talked of Vaccine production, we are ready to build synergy with you. Though we have our drug production agency. Where we produce many of our simple drugs here in Kano for consumption.”
He said: “It is a matter of studying that outfit and see how it can be improved. Because there are some rudimentary issues that are already there for the production of drugs. We really appreciate and welcome this development.”
