The umbrella body for all lawyers in the country – The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has said it will not back down on the probe of the raid on the Abuja home of the Supreme Court Justice, Mary Odili.
Daily Trust reports that the police had last week paraded 14 suspects and declared seven to be at large in connection with the raid.

The NBA, Thursday in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Dr Rapulu Nduka, vowed to ensure the prosecution of those that raided the house and those that authorised it.
It stated this while debunking comments on social media credited to its President, Olumide Akpata, allegedly describing the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), as the most incompetent AGF Nigeria has ever had, and a lawyer with no respect or regard for the rule of law.
The statement said, “For the avoidance of doubt, the NBA wishes to set the records straight and state that the leadership of the NBA has since set up a machinery to investigate the matter of the invasion of the home of Justice Odili.
“The aim of the said investigation is to provide the NBA with credible information based on empirical data regarding the raid on the home of Justice Mary Odili (JSC), and will not make comments that risk jeopardising the process.
“What is more, the NBA has its official and dedicated communication channels and does not make statements through proxies or fifth columnists.”
