The House of Representatives Adhoc Committee investigating the real estate sector in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has said that it may soon summon the Executive Secretary of FCDA over the failure of some of his critical heads of agencies in the FCT to honour an invitation to appear before the committee.
Chairman of the Adhoc Committee Investigating Real Estate Developers, Hon. Blessing Onuh, on Wednesday in Abuja, said the heads of agencies in the FCTA had declined repeated invitations to appear before the committee despite massive allegations against some of them during a recent public hearing.

The is as the House of Representatives tasked security agencies to intensify their operations to fish out perpetrators of all the ongoing sharp practices in the real estate sector.
Reacting to this, Hon. Onuh said her committee is concluding plans to subpoena the FCDA management and real estate development in the nation’s capital.
She said that the officials have questions to answer from the committee about allegations of aiding and abetting real estate fraud in the FCT.
“We have sent invitations to the Civil Servants to come and clear the air on all these allegations, but as we speak, none of them has honored the invite. As it stands now, we will be left with no option to subpoena,” she said.
She said that the House of Representatives had mandated her committee to ensure that all the complaints by the public against the real estate developers in the FCT are looked into.
