Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, has matriculated 5,000 students for the 2020/2021 academic session.
The matriculation ceremony of the 9th set of students enrolled into the university was held at the main campus of the university.
The newly admitted undergraduates are students from the faculties of science, education, humanities, social and management sciences, basic medical science and clinical sciences.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, charged the students to equip themselves with the regulations governing their affairs in the university and behave well to achieve their objectives.
“Getting admission into the institution might be difficult; remaining in the institution to complete your studies is even harder. You need to focus on what you are primarily here for, that is, to acquire the basic minimum requirements in character and learning that would qualify you for the award of degree certificates,” he said.
