A voter in the ongoing supplementary election in Anambra State has said there is a massive turnout of voters in the election.
The supplementary exercise is meant to determine the winner of the 2021 Anambra Governorship election.
The exercise commenced hours behind schedule in most parts of Ihiala.
Although the process was supposed to kick off at 10am, activities started at most polling units around 12 noon.
A voter, Miss Agnes Ugo, who spoke to Daily Trust at Our Ladies of Lourse, Seminary, Ihiala, said the exercise has so far been hitch-free.
She commended the security agencies and the media for their professionalism as well as the electorate for the enthusiasm displayed.
According to her, “For now, what we have seen is a massive turnout of voters and I believe with the large presence of security agencies, the exercises will end in peace.
“Again, we’ve seen that the peace that Ndi-Anambra witnessed in the Saturday’s election, is also playing out here today.”
Major roads and streets in Ihiala are filled with security operatives.
