Centre seeks effective implementation of criminal justice law

A criminal justice reform organization, the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies (CSLS) has asked states’ attorneys general to ensure adequate implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Laws (ACJL) in their states.

The President of CSLS, Prof Yemi Akinseye-George (SAN), made the call recently at the experts’ workshop to review the proposed amendments to the ACJA, 2015.

“We, therefore, urge them to key into the National Minimum Standards Project for the effective implementation of the ACJA/ACJL,” he said.
