Arewa youths want late crime buster, Ali Kwara immortalised

The Arewa Youths Consultative Council has urged the Bauchi State and federal governments to immortalise Ali Kwara, the famous anti-armed robbery hunter.

The group’s Chairman in Bauchi, Usama Ibrahim Aliyu made the call Monday while speaking at a one-year memorial organised in honour of late Ali Kwara in Azare, Bauchi State. 

He said late Ali Kwara offered noble contributions in arresting all forms of criminalities within and outside Nigeria.

Usama said, “The deceased has contributed immensely in securing the state, country and Africa”. 

He, therefore, urged the Bauchi State government to name the Azare General Hospital after him. 

“We want the state government to name the hospital after him as a sign of appreciation for the meritorious services he rendered in the security of the country during his lifetime,” he said. 

A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, also extolled the virtues of Ali Kwara. 

In their separate remarks, Professor Muhammad Hamisu Muhammad and Dr. Waziri Dogo Muhammad spoke on the life and legacies of the late Ali Kwara whom they described as a brave man, a businessman, philanthropist, and exemplary leader whose essential qualities are worthy of emulation.
