Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has offered automatic employment in the state civil service to the best graduating students of the Edo University, Uzairue.

Obaseki announced this in Iyamho, Etsako West Local Government Area of the state, during the 3rd convocation ceremony and award of degrees/conferment of honorary degrees of the institution.

“Those exceptional students who have obtained one university prize or the other should note that you have automatic employment into Edo civil service.”

“If you don’t want to proceed with your Master’s programme immediately, but want to work, just write to me and indicate that you are a prize winner.

“You will only complete the formalities to get employed,” he said.

He commended the vice-chancellor and staff of the institution for the successes the school has recorded since inception, especially, in the areas of quality and excellence.
