Seven people were killed when gunmen invaded Naga village in the Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State, Tuesday night.
Daily Trust gathered that the gunmen, on motorcycles, entered the village at about 8pm and started shooting sporadically.

They killed seven people and injured several others in the process.
A source in the village, who pleaded anonymity, said immediately after the shootings, the gunmen rode away into the forest.
He said this is the first time the villagers experienced an attack by ‘unknown gunmen’.
The police’s spokesperson at the Taraba Police Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, said Naga, where the incident happened, is in Adamawa State not in Taraba State.
“Be informed that the area where the incident took place (Naga) is under Adamawa Police Command not Lau in Taraba State,” DSP Abdullahi said.
