Victims of the crane crash during the 2015 Hajj operation in Saudi Arabia from Kaduna State say they are yet to receive compensation six years after the incident.
Daily Trust recalls that on September 11, 2015, a crawler crane collapsed during a thunderstorm at the Kaaba in Makkah claiming many lives and injuring others.

Nigeria lost six pilgrims from Gombe, Katsina and Kaduna states while three others sustained injuries.
It was however gathered that the Saudi Arabian authority has already released money for the compensation of all the death and injured pilgrims around 2018.
According to a statement from Saudi Arabia, each injured victim was expected to receive the sum of N26.5 million while families of dead victims were to receive the sum of N53.1 million each.
Zubairu Adamu, an elder brother to one of the deceased, Shuaibu Adamu, from Kubau LGA, and one Ibrahim Sani, who claimed to have sustained an injury on his left shoulder, have called on Governor Nasir El-Rufai to intervene.
Zubairu told journalists that his late brother left behind two wives and 10 children who had yet to receive their late father’s benefits.
Sani said they have written letters to both the state Pilgrims Board and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) reminding them of their situation but nothing positive has come out of it.
When contacted, the Acting Overseer of Kaduna State Pilgrims Board, Mrs Hannatu Zaiýlani, said the cheque received from NAHCON in 2018 contained the name of the deceased instead of his next of kin.
