The former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso commissioned a Juma’at mosque in his hometown, Rikadawa, Madobi Local Government Area, in Kano State.
This was part of the activities carried out last week to celebrate the former governor’s 65th birthday.
Kwankwaso also laid the foundation for the construction of an Islamiyya school within the mosque premises.
The mosque, which was built through the former governor’s endowment, Kwankwasiyya Foundation, is dedicated to his father, late Majidadi of Kano State, Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso.
Also, within the mosque premises, is a standard mechanised borehole, which would serve the community.
Addressing a crowd shortly after the commissioning of the mosque, Kwankwaso thanked his followers for their unflinching support and to the Kwankwasiyya movement.
He said he would continue to bring developmental projects aimed at uplifting the socio-economic life of the people in the local government through his foundation.
