Kwankwaso also laid the foundation for the construction of an Islamiyya school within the mosque premises.

The mosque, which was built through the former governor’s endowment, Kwankwasiyya Foundation, is dedicated to his father, late Majidadi of Kano State, Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso.

Also, within the mosque premises, is a standard mechanised borehole, which would serve the community.

Addressing a crowd shortly after the commissioning of the mosque, Kwankwaso thanked his followers for their unflinching support and to the Kwankwasiyya movement.

He said he would continue to bring developmental projects aimed at uplifting the socio-economic life of the people in the local government through his foundation.
