USAID donates teaching aids to health training institutions

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Nigeria under its Health Workforce Management Activity (HWMA) has donated teaching aids to Aliko Dangote College of Nursing Sciences Bauchi and Bill and Melinda Gates College of Health Technology in Ningi to strengthen pre-services health training in Bauchi State.

Speaking during the handover of the equipment in Bauchi, State Coordinator of HWMA, Nasiru Sa’adu, said the equipment were donated with the aim of producing the right health workers to provide quality healthcare services and help in addressing maternal mortality in the state.

“ We believe to some extent that if we are able to work with these two training institutions and support them, they will provide the right health workers that will be absorbed by the system and be deployed to our facilities to provide the needed services,” he said.
