Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, on Friday, signed into law, a bill to prohibit and abolish open cattle and other livestock grazing and rearing and establish cattle and other livestock ranches in the state.
The signing ceremony took place at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, Anambra State.

The Anambra State House of Assembly had two weeks ago passed the bill into law.
Signing it into law, Obiano appreciated the House of Assembly for the expeditious passage of the bill.
He said that the establishment of the law would hopefully enable the entrenchment of peace in the state.
