The Federal Republic of Somalia Wednesday lobbied Peace Corps Nigeria (PCN) to help it in achieving the establishment of Peace Corps in its country following the gradual return of tranquillity into the country.
The Ambassador of the country to Nigeria, Jamal Barrow, made the plea at the headquarters of Peace Corps Nigeria, Abuja. Barrow, while requesting from the National Commandant, Dickson Akoh, to share the ideas on how PCN was established, said his country would be interested as he was impressed with the conduct of its officers in Kano during a formal event.

It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had a few months ago refused to sign the bill passed by the National Assembly seeking legal backing for PCN into law.
Reacting, Akoh said he would facilitate how Peace Corps Somalia (PCS) would be established.
