“It was somebody called Manager who informed me that a new born baby’s legs have been found inside firewood in the area in the early hours of Sunday. I got to the place and saw it too but I found a policeman already arrived. I quickly reported to my village head, who ordered me to also inform the police and the Hisbah.

“We searched but couldn’t find the remaining parts of the baby. It was after we buried the legs, approximately two hours later that I was informed that the baby’s head has also been found inside grasses. We reported again to the authorities, and we had to dig out the legs we buried,” he said.
