Gbong Gwom Jos canvasses support for govt, security agencies

The Chairman of the Plateau State Traditional Council of Chiefs, the Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, has urged the masses to support the government in tackling the security challenges bedeviling the nation.

Speaking Sunday at his place in Jos, the Plateau State capital, during his 70th birthday celebration, Buba said everyone was guilty of the current predicament in the country because the people were no more each other’s keeper.

He said love, which originally should exist among members of the society, was no longer there.

He said all residents of the state should deliberately agree to live in peace and harmony.

Buba called on the religious leaders to join hands with the traditional rulers in finding the way out of the security predicament.

He promised to keep engaging Governor Simon Lalong in the quest and search for peace in the state.

The celebration was graced by Governor Lalong, Senator Istifanus Gyang, Plateau State House of Assembly Speaker, Abok Nuhu Ayuba and former Governor Jonah Jang, among other dignitaries.
