No fewer than 93 suspects were arrested following raids on some criminal hideouts by the operatives of the FCT Police Command.
CP Benneth Igweh, while parading the suspects at the command in Abuja, on Saturday, said the suspects were arrested during coordinated raid on some black spots by police operatives at Apo, Iddo, Nyanya, Karmo, Byazhin, Gwarimpa and Mpape, all Abuja suburbs.
He said the suspects, who have been profiled are in police custody undergoing screening and interrogation at respective divisions, saying those found wanting will be charge to court.
He also disclosed that a pistol with 17 live ammunitions were recovered after police operatives engaged some suspected robbers in a shootout at Byazhin in Bwari Area Council of the FCT.

CP Igweh said the operatives received a distress call that some robbers broke into a house at Chikakore in order to rob the residents of the area, but his men from Byazhin Division engaged the robbers.
He said, “And in a swift response, the operatives repelled the attack from the hoodlums, who injured three residents. While fleeing, a pistol and 17 live ammunitions were recovered.”
He said the police were still on the trail of the fleeing hoodlums, even a she said the injured victims were taken to the hospital.
