The Head of Unit of federal government’s Conditional Cash Transfer Programme in Kogi, Mrs Falilat Abdulrasak has said that over 9,000 people have so far been receiving the N5,000 monthly cash transfer designed for the vulnerable and poorest of the poor in the state.
She disclosed this yesterday in Lokoja during the training of another set of 82 facilitators who are to drive the implementation of the programme across 12 local government areas.
She said 131 other facilitators previously trained from the benefitting LGAs had started work in their various communities.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Multilateral, Donor Agencies and Special Projects/Focal Person on Social Investment Programme, Mr Adoga Ibrahim said the programme which was being conducted by the National Cash Transfer Office, Abuja in collaboration with Kogi State Government, had recorded appreciable success in the state.
