8 killed in Lagos-Ibadan road accidents

Two children and three others were on Wednesday burnt to death in a motor accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway involving a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number: KAA 601 XA.

Three people had earlier died in an early morning accident involving three vehicles on the highway.

The spokesman of the FRSC in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, told journalists that nine other people sustained injuries in the accidents.

She attributed the cause of the second accident to mechanical deficiency which resulted to a fire while the vehicle was in motion.
