Eight people have been reported killed with three others injured in an attack on Kibori, Atak-Njei and Zama’awan communities in Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The first attack took place Monday night at Kibori where gunmen killed two and injured three, according to Gabriel Joseph, the Youth Leader of the Atyap, while speaking with Daily Trust on the incident.

“The following day (Tuesday) the attackers carried out another operation on Atak- Njei Community and killed three other persons and yesterday (Wednesday) morning, they again killed three women when they attacked Zama’awan Community around 7pm,” he said
The Chairman, Atyap Chiefdom Peace and Security Partnership Committee (ACPSPC), John Bala Gora, lamented the resurgence of killings in the chiefdom despite the efforts of the traditional ruler, security personnel, peace committee and the Kaduna State government in bringing back peace to the chiefdom.
Efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Muhammed Jalige, at the time of filing this report were not successful as his mobile line was not reachable.
