Eight people were on Saturday evening killed and two injured in a road crash on Lamingo Road in Jos North Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State.
Peter Y. Longsan, spokesman of the FRSC in the state, told our correspondent that the accident occurred at about 3pm involving a Toyota Hiace and a Honda Pilot.

He said, “10 people were involved; eight died and two sustained injuries. The injured were taken to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), while the corpses were deposited at the old JUTH.
“The incident happened as a result of excessive speed by one of the drivers which led to loss of control and resulted in a head-on collision.”
