The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has inducted over 700 human resource practitioners as new associate members of the body.
The inductees became chattered members of the institute at the 32nd/33rd ceremony held both in Ogun and Lagos states.
According to the CIPM President, Wale Adediran, 564 individuals were inducted in Lagos after over 100 civil servants who applied through the practitioners’ route had earlier been inducted in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Adediran further asked the newly inducted members to continuously demonstrate best practices in the deployment of their responsibilities as human resource practitioners so as to command the due respect the profession deserved.
He said it was important that they remained invaluable through the pedigree of their contributions to organisational performance and corporate successes.
The Guest Speaker at the event, who is the Chief Human Resource Officer of Sterling Bank, Mrs. Temitope Dalley, urged the newly inducted members to learn how to use their positions to build trust across various departments, identify where their power lay, build the employer’s brand, adopt and explore data and new technology.
