7 die in Oji River auto crash

Seven people have died in a road accident at Ugwuoba in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State. 

The state Police Command spokesman, SP Ebere Amaraizu, said in a statement yesterday that an 8-month-old baby died in a nearby hospital during medical attention while the other victims died on the spot.

Amaraizu said an articulated vehicle with No KTU 31 XA had collided with one Mitsubishi  Bus marked  XE 911 JJT which in turn hit another Mitsubishi bus with registration number FGG 233XG at Ugwuoba along Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, causing both vehicles to crash on the truck following which “no fewer than seven passengers  were confirmed dead,” including an 8-month-old baby.
