7 die in Kogi road crash

 

Seven persons were killed in a ghastly accident along the Ankpa -Anyigba road in Kogi State on Saturday.

Daily Trust on Sunday gathered that the incident happened at a settlement called Okura on the said highway around 10.30am.

The locals said a Toyota bus veered of its lane and crashed into the bush while on motion, killing the occupants.

The police public relations officer, Kogi State command, SP William Aya, confirmed the incident, saying it was a lone accident where seven people lost their lives.

“The accident occurred at Okura, where the bus somersaulted into the bush. The driver and six passengers lost their lives,” Aya said.
