The Edo State Police Command has arrested seven suspects for alleged involvement in cult-related killings in the state.
The suspects, it was learnt, were arrested in Auchi and its environs, Etsako West Local Government Area of the state, following killings by rival cult groups.
The Police Commissioner, Funsho Agdegboye, said the suspects, who were members of the Black Axe and Eiye groups, were arrested by the operatives of South-Ibie Division and Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit.
He said during the incident one Umoru was attacked and shot dead by some members of Eiye Cult group at Campus Gate Auchi.

He added that one Emmanuel Odiase, a member of Black Axe, was also killed by members of Eiye cult group while a man identified as Braimoh Fulani, 43, was killed in his provision shop on campus at Auchi by members of Aiye cult group.
According to him, Braimoh’s assailants came to his shop in an unregistered Lexus 350 SUV, which they abandoned after killing him.
He said police operatives in collaboration with the vigilante group mobilized to the scene and arrested the suspects and recovered their weapons.
He said the suspects would be charged to court.
