64 FCT council head teachers trained in mgt techniques

A firm, Comfred Education Consult Limited, has organised a seminar for 64 head teachers of the Local Education Authority (LEA) primary schools in Abaji Area Council of the FCT on techniques management.

The Principal Consultant of Comfred Education Consult Limited, Ibrahim Mustapha Wale, while speaking at the two-day seminar with the theme: “Duties and Techniques in Managing Schools”, said the seminar was organised in collaboration with the area council in order to improve quality of education in public schools in the area.

In her paper presentation titled: “Emotional Intelligence as a Tool for Increased Performance in the Workplace”, Mrs Afusat Badamasi, a lecturer of special education with the College of Education (COE), Zuba, highlighted the benefits of emotional intelligence, which she said included enhancing interpersonal relationships among teachers, motivation, communication, etc.

Earlier, the Chairman of Abaji, Abubakar Umar Abdullahi, represented by the Supervisory Councillor for Education, Aisha Sada Adamu, while declaring the seminar open, advised the participants to take advantage of the training to improve on their performance in their schools.
