63 ATBU students win FG scholarship

Sixty-three students of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, including undergraduates, master’s and PhD students have won the Federal Ministry of Education’s scholarship.

The Vice Chancellor of the school, Prof Muhammad Ahmad Abdulazeez, while receiving the scholarship award letters on behalf of the 63 students in his office at the Gubi campus, said the gesture would greatly help indigent students who made the list to advance their academic pursuit.

He assured them that the university would organise an orientation seminar for the beneficiaries on how best to utilise the money given to them.

He thanked the Federal Government for the gesture.

Earlier in his remark, the representative of the Scholarship Board, Federal Ministry of Education, and executive officer 1 of the ministry, Malam Chiroma Mohammed, commended the staff and students for putting in their best, and urged them to do more.
