A 62-year-old man, identified as Moshood Lasisi, has committed suicide by hanging in Ondo State

Lasisi was found dead in his room at Ayede Ogbese in Akure North Local Government Area of the state.

The deceased was said to have hung himself in their room when his wife and children went to the farm on Monday.

His wife, Lady Evangelist Victoria Lasisi, was said to have knocked on the door severally but without response.

She peeped through the window only to see her husband dangling from a rope.

Reacting, the chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in Ogbese, Pastor Oyedeji Aladenika, described the incident as shocking and wondered why the man had to commit suicide.

The pastor said though the man was disabled, his wife and children were taking care of him.

Efforts to get the reaction of the Ondo Police spokesperson, Odunlami Funmilayo, as of the time of filing this report, proved abortive.
