The president, who was represented by his chief of staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari, urged him to continue to serve the country in every way possible, adding that Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the House has positively changed the public perception of the relationship between the legislature and the executive.

On his part, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, also described Speaker Gbajabiamila as a patriotic Nigerian who uses his position to enhance good governance.

Tinubu, who is also the national leader of the APC, said God had made it possible for the Speaker to impact positively on the lives of Nigerians through the legislature.
