6,000 vulnerable persons get N7000 monthly stipend in Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has flagged off the second phase of Conditional Cash Transfer Programme for 6000 vulnerable citizens who will collect N7000 monthly stipend for the next 24months.

Sule, while flagging off the second phase of the exercise tagged (Kudin A A Sule) on Tuesday in Lafia, explained that the aim was to improve on the standard of living of the widows, the aged and the orphans among other less privileged persons.

He said his administration has decided to increase the money from N5000 to N7000 in the second phase of the programme owing to the present economic situation and reality in the country.

Sule also said that the conditional cash transfer initiative by his administration has afforded the beneficiaries to pool their resources thereby investing in businesses that would change their lives positively.

He said the beneficiaries would receive two months’ stipends at once.
