Sixty people have been prosecuted and fined for violating sanitation laws during the May monthly environmental exercise in Ekiti State.
Magistrate Olubunmi Bamidele fined the violators for various offences which went against the general sanitation exercise.

Following the convictions, the Director, Ekiti State Environmental Health and Sanitation, Mr Tunde Balogun, reminded the residents of the state’s environmental, health and sanitation laws and urged them to comply with the regulations and avoid dumping refuse indiscriminately.
